A new venture for us is the sale of Longhorn hides. We were so impressed by the colours and patterns of Longhorn hides that we felt we had to preserve the best of them for others to appreciate. We now select the finest to be sent to the Exeter Hide & Skin Company for tanning. They look stunning either as a rug, where they will give a lifetime of enjoyment, or as a wallhanging. They are roughly 2.25m x 2.25m (90 x 90 inches) and are priced from £395. In August our Welsh Organic Black Puddings were awarded the distinction of being 'The Best New Product for 2006' by the Pembrokeshire Produce Quality Mark, organised by the County Council. We were presented with two bottles of Penderyn Single Malt Whiskey at a celebration breakfast held at the County Show on Withybush airfield, Haverfordwest. We will also be promoting our Welsh Organic Black Puddings at the Organic Food Festival to be held in Bristol on the weekend of September 2nd & 3rd. Last year's show was very well attended by food enthusiasts from all over the U.K. and we hope to repeat our exploit of selling out of produce again this year. We've just come back from the Bristol 2006 Organic Food Fair having had a great time meeting customers from last year and making a lot of new friends. The puds went down even better than last year and, despite having made more than twice as many, we still sold out by 3pm on the Sunday. And to cap it all, we spotted Tim Brooke-Taylor in the crowd, so we invited him to have a taste! His was a typical Goodies' response - he gave us an 'Ecky Thoomp' with a pud - see picture. All in all a brilliant Fair - we've booked for next year already .......
